Mike Steele has over 40 years of experience teaching and training horses and riders, with an extensive background in the training and development of all breeds of horse. Mike has earned his USDF Bronze and Silver Medals and has trained with many national and international trainers, including extensive training in Germany over the course of three years.

Mike has a certificate from the Sally Swift Training Program for Dressage Instructors. For three years, he was a work study student for Violet Hopkins, a pioneer of Dressage in the United States and the creator of the USDF Violet M. Hopkins National Dressage Instructor Seminar. Mike attended all USDF Violet Hopkins National Dressage Instructor Seminars from their inception in 1979 until it was relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska in the mid 80's.

Mike has produced many horse and rider partnerships, from Training Level through FEI, including the Grand Prix. His students have earned their USDF medals training with Mike and his riders have earned may championships. Among others, he coaches an international para-equestrian rider who has competed in several Para Equestrian Olympics and an international endurance rider winning the Pan American Games Gold medal.

Mike has been exposed to, and is educated in many forms of body work, body mechanics and body awareness techniques. He's a graduate of West Wind Academy for Massage Therapy. He was also on staff for three years at Scottsdale Community College Equine Science Program, teaching "Form to Function" a study on conformation to performance in many different riding disciplines.
